A gentle 4 ½ mile circular walk from Crowton, down to the River Weaver Navigation and back through Acton Bridge village; on quiet lanes, field paths, tracks and the unfenced riverbank. We will see an old course of the River Weaver, the Grade II listed Dutton Viaduct (and a possible mistake by the famous George Stevenson) and the wreck of the Chica. Wear suitable clothing and footwear. Bring snacks and drinks.
A pub lunch or other refreshment is an option at the end of the walk. Please support the pub in return for their kind use of the car park if you can.
No dogs please.
