As we walk out into the natural environment, aspects of our surroundings capture and fire our imagination in ways we might find hard to articulate. Writing helps us explore what is resonating, and poetry in particular, can release fresh words for felt connections. In this workshop we will take time to engage in creative encounters with natural objects indoors and out, and bring our responses to the page.
Julia McGuinness is Chester Cathedral’s current Poet-in-Residence. She runs writing workshops for creativity at the Cathedral and at Gladstone’s Library in Hawarden.
